Sharing the dream of a Triratna Right Livelihood Team in St Leonards On Sea

I find the “Triratna Mantra” playlist (opening track below as YouTube film) a perfect (uplifting) start to the day. This YouTube playlist is now my usual start to the day.
I remember the #TriratnaAloka Triptych you show, which can be found in the basement shrine room of the London Buddhist Centre. When I lived there for 6 months (prior to #HastingsPierFire calling me away) our Karuna Trust #RightLivelihood team meditated for 40mins each morning in front of this Tryptich.

Now having established a role as #PaulCroslandIndependentCandidate & become clear how to build welfare in the most deprived part of SouthEast England, the time is ripe for the Tiratna Household that I’ve asked Alobhin to lead. Whilst his lead would be in establishing a harmonious Buddhist Household, mine would be in establishing the Aspiring Dr Ambedkars of St Leonards on sea (#ADAOSLOS) as effective in addressing the needs of the “downtrodden”. This #RightLivelihood project is one of the three projects dearest to my heart* - please see the #PaulCroslandAndAlobhin films to feel this palpably.

May all here be well & if you can’t be well, then I wish for you that you be strong.

* The other two projects I cultivate most carefully:
1) #InvestInTheFestivalOfTheNewSociety2066 (FOTNS2066)
2) The next (five?) book(s) to be written by #PaulCroslandDraftAuthor, starting with “The Myth Of The Heartless Tory; #BeyondPolarisationInPolitics

December 2020 was overwhelming for many; including me; leading to early 2021 #LockdownMentalHealthCrisis. #PaulCroslandDraftAuthor has been through the whole #BipolarWarriorCycle & undertaken a #PandemicEraReEvaluation of Projects: http://additionalinfo.blogspot.com/2020/12/the-compass-of-political-convergence.html  Now the #BookOf2021 is “The #MythOfTheHeartlessTory”. the #BookOf2023 is #LevelUpOurLife & the #BookOf2024 (inshallah) is (provisionally) to be #PaulCroslandDraftEditor’s Collaborative #NVCplus “Magnum Opus”: “Getting #GrassrootsConvergentFacilitation To The Top”. PreOrder via donations to https://PayPal.Me/RefugeTreeWoods

The 4 "What If?" questions we attempt to answer in "The Myth Of The Heartless Tory"

4 chapters of the forthcoming "Myth Of The Heartless Tory" book, due out in time for Christmas 2021 offer (provisional) answers* to these "What If?" questions:

1. What if Jeremy Hunt had won the 2019 Tory Leadership contest?

2. What if Rory Stewart had won the 2019 Tory Leadership contest? In the film below I champion Rory Stewart -out of all the candidates- as the most likely to be #SavingTheUK and getting Political Discourse beyond The Myth Of The Undeserving Poor.

3. What if Paul Crosland, Independent Candidate had been elected as the MP for the Hastings & Rye constituency in the 2019 General Election?

4. What if Jeremy Corbyn had won the 2019 General Election?

* Without your input all answers are provisional! i.e."I don't know best, we know better."

Please add your guestimations of the chain of events flowing from any of the #WhatIfUKpolitics scenarios suggested above -comment below.

The Compass Of Political Convergence

The pattern I’m embarking on is this:

Each winter, for the next 4 years, and then a winter off for the next General Election campaign, write a book. However I now intend to squeeze writing these 5 books before the 10th October 2024 presumed next General Election; the one about my Dad to be completed within 2 years of his (August2020) passing:

1) "The ‘Myth Of The Heartless Tory’, the ‘Would-Be Wizards of Hastings’ and the familiar cry of the Red Kite, calling for #DeeperLegitimacy #DemocracyOfNeeds

3) ”Level Up Our Life”
- This book’s tuning into #3energies derives from #FreeBuddhistAudio talks about the #BuddhistSaintsInIndia by #UrgyenSangharakshita, whose book “The #ReligionOfArt” and “Mind Reactive And Creative” booklet were also seminal precursors of the extended essay in #LevelUpOurLife titled “The Religion Of Music; integrating (your inner & outer) #CreativePunk/ #CreativeHippy/ #CreativeClassicalist and live a life less reactive, for all our sakes”.

4) “2066 and all that The New Society calls us to embody”

5) “‘Judas Was Paid’; Whip-Free Accountable Mavericks in Parliament - from William Wilberforce to the ‘Independent Candidate To Come’” #WFAMIP

Reconnected with Miki Kashtan after 7 years

This is me about 7-9 years ago; proud of my Prototype "Needs Abacus":

and here is Miki:

The East Point Peace talk from Miki in May gave me a way that I was willing to adopt the hitherto shunned word “Patriarchy” .
In my opinion, Miki addressed the most important (non-medical) issue in the wake of the coming of the Pandemic Era (with Covid19) and here produced "The film of the year", 2020!, IMHO,
I have drawn out her key 2 minutes on Patriarchy in this blog post, in which I have Miki's  East Point Peace talk embedded:

7 years ago Miki and I were on a phone conference and Miki ended up providing a rich (for me) teaching around the poem I’d written and shared with her about my sibling difficulty:

My brief account of my brief exchange yesterday evening with Miki is captured in this screenshot of my twitter account below:

How have you managed to avoid becoming cynical?

S: I can understand people becoming cynical. But what is cynicism? I think cynicism arises when there is a lack of emotional positivity to safeguard one from cynicism. But I can also see that, despite their lapses and backslidings, and stumbling and straying, people do very often make, at least intermittently, a very sincere effort. So one appreciates that too. It’s not as though the backslide is the whole of the story. I’m also very conscious of the fact that a lot of people have a very unfavourable start in life, so one can’t help feeling for them, and understanding, certainly in some cases, why they find it so difficult to make progress, and why there are so many things to be sorted out.

I confess to calling someone patronising

I've admitted before how difficult I find it sometimes to stick to the idealised version of #KinderPolitics. So am I advocating self-censorship? I believe repression is a last resort in a series of processes to tune up one's ethical behaviour. I also believe that within "safe confines", name-calling can be a useful intermediate step to finding out what the unmet needs are that the other (#hartless?) person represents. Indeed, for 12 years I ran two websites designed to assist people to get from the name-calling to the respectful request-making, grounded in

  • needs-consciousness,
  • depth of identified feeling (&)
  • separation of upset from a non-judgemental account of what happened.
These websites were launched "with" Marshall Rosenberg when I worked, on behalf of the former national charity for community mediation, Mediation UK, and with NVC-UK to put Marshall Rosenberg (of Radio 4 "Great Lives" fame etc) at the centre of an event for mediators at Conway Hall, London, in May 2006)

Anyhow, here's an example of me calling someone "Patronising", and sometime I'll share what I've learned since calling George Monbiot that.

To make up in some way, I post his film that provoked me into this blog post and, for further context, provide here a link to the Daily Mail coverage of the Chairman of the Football Association losing his job for some "inappropriate and inconsiderate" language when facing a Parliamentary Committee focused on "more inclusivity" in sports: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/sportsnews/article-8941225/Shamed-ex-FA-chairman-Greg-Clarke-190-000-year-job-FIFA-vice-president.html
